Time to hit the (virtual) links | News
For golfers, the weather is getting better each day, still it may be a little chilly for some of you looking to hit the links. That's okay. There's a place in Spokane where you can enjoy a round of golf any time of the year.
You can tee off at Pebble Beach or spend a little time working on your swing over at Bethpage Black. Virtual Golf Spokane opened earlier this month and its the place to go to improve your game, compete, or share a fun, one of a kind experience with your friends.
"There is no place to play golf from November all the way through typically March, it's just frozen winter here," Rich King said.
King, along with business partner Richard Souza, have built a golfer's sanctuary when they opened Virtual Golf Spokane near the intersection of Trent and Hamilton
"We like to say it's half the time at a fraction of the cost," Richard Souza said. "56 of the world's greatest courses ? Pebble Beach , St. Andrews, Bethpage Black, shoot you can change it up in the middle of the round."
It may look like a glorified video game, but the equipment is state of the art.
"It's incredible technology, it's extremely accurate, it far exceeded my expectations," King said.
"If you're an avid golfer or a golf aficionado I believe in our technology and you can get something from our technology, as far as the swing analysis software goes, but you don't have to be an avid golfer to have a good time," Souza added.
Virtual Golf Spokane has clinics, camps, and leagues for everyone in the family that will be starting next month.
