Manito's Japanese Garden open for season | News
Get ready for a tranquil afternoon in the park! The Nishinomiya Tsutakawa Japanese Garden in Manito Park is open for the season.
The garden opened in 1974 after 12 years of planning and has been a Spokane favorite ever since. This special part of Manito Park symbolizes the friendship between Spokane and its sister city, Nishinomiya.
According to The Friends of Manito, the garden was ranked 24 out of more than 300 public Japanese gardens by the Journal of Japanese Gardening. Since then, our garden has climbed to number 16. Volunteers from Inland Empire Water Garden & Koi Society
