Detectives arrest four brothers for interstate crime spree | Crime
Spokane Valley and Post Falls Property Crimes detectives executed a search warrant in the 6100 block of East 15th Avenue in Spokane Valley as a result of three-month investigation into a crime spree that stretched from Airway Heights to Post Falls.
Four brothers, one of them a juvenile, are accused of stealing items ranging from vacuums and carpet cleaners to sewing machines and air conditioners from department stores, including Fred Meyer, Kohl's and WalMart in Spokane, Spokane Valley, Airway Heights and Post Falls.
They would allegedly take that stolen property and sell it on Craigslist.
Detectives arrested 24-year-old Vitaliy Kozubenko, 18-year-old Dmitriy Kozubenko, 25-year-old Denis Kozubenko and a juvenile brother for the crime spree. The brothers face multiple felony charges including trafficking stolen property, theft, burglary and possession of a controlled substance.
In all there were 15 different cases involved in the investigation.
The three older brothers were booked into the Spokane County Jail while the juvenile brother was booked into Juvenile Detention.
Both Spokane Valley and Post Falls police departments have been handling the investigation and expect more arrests to be made in the crime spree.
