Diapers running low at Vanessa Behan Crisis Nursery | Community Spirit
The diaper stores at the Vanessa Behan Crisis Nursery are running low and so are the funds to buy more. The nursery is asking for donations of larger sized diapers and pull ups.
“We are in constant need of some of the larger sizes,” said House Manager Mariah McConnaughey. She explains that kids stay in sizes four, five and six longer than the smaller, infant sizes.
Last week she purchased nine boxes of diapers and is hoping that they last through the weekend. While the nursery does have a diaper fund to purchase supplies as needed, the fund is also running low. McConnaughey said they hope to get enough donations to hold them over until their annual diaper drive in May.
How can you help? Drop off a diaper donation of any brand, sizes four, five and six at the Vanessa Behan Crisis Nursery between 8:30am and 4:30pm, Monday through Friday. You can also make a monetary donation and designate it for diaper purchases. Another great idea? Order diapers in bulk on Amazon.com and have them delivered directly to the nursery.
