Manito Tap House nominated as a Great American Beer Bar | Business
Spokane has been gaining momentum in the craft beer market for the last couple of years, but now restaurants that feature craft beers are also getting the seal of approval from the industry. Manito Tap House has been nominated for craftbeer.com's Great American Beer Bars competition.
Craftbeer.com is run by the Brewers Association, and their members produce 99 percent of the beer brewed in the U.S. The BA has narrowed the 5,000 nominations they received down to the top 10 in each region. Voters can vote for one bar in each of the five regions. The top vote getters, as well as the top three overall, will be recognized.
Manito Tap House features 50 tap handles focused on craft beers from around the Northwest. They also serve Northwest wines and have a full spirit selection. The restaurant prides itself on making all of their savory dishes completely from scratch—right down to the ketchup that is served alongside an order of fries.
The restaurant and beer bar is a certified green restaurant and received a 2013 Certificate of Excellence from TripAdvisor. Local brewers give credit to restaurants like the Manito Tap House to their recent success and growth saying that the support they have received from Manito Tap House has been crucial in introducing their product to the public.
